For me, it was an amazing musical treat..!! Yes.. the latest film, written and directed by Damien Chazelle, (the director of Whiplash)
and starring,
Ryan Gosling (as Sebastian Wilder, a struggling jazz pianist and performer),
and , Emma Stone (as Mia Dolan, a girl who cherishes a passion for acting,and later becomes an actress)..
Yes..as I said in the beginning, it is an amazing and rejuvenating romantic musical love comedy, which keeps you thrilled.. So, don't miss this movie which got "Fourteen record tying nominations" in the forthcoming Oscar awards.. including Best Picture, Best Director (Chazelle), Best Actor (Gosling), Best Actress (Stone) and two Best Original Songs, "Audition (The Fools Who Dream)" and "City of Stars". The film also won in every category it was nominated for at the 74th Golden Globe Awards with a record-breaking seven wins.!
Damien Chazelle, the director of the movie is fond of music and opera. So,he aesthetically uses the same in the cinema. That is the highlight.. The song visualisations are simply amazing.. He mimics many popular Hollywood song sequences of yester decades,which gives the movie ,a "classical touch...!" Not only the music,but the lyrics too...!!
